Job summary

NovaSource Power Services seeks a diligent on-site Solar O&M Technician to perform component replacements, inverter maintenance, and SCADA coordination. You will work with the engineering team, manage subcontractors, and ensure thorough documentation of all activities.

Travel to regional sites is expected; a strong WHS focus and ability to read plans and specs are essential. Valid electrical licence, white card, and first aid credentials are required to join our team.

Qualifications

• Current Electrical License (unrestricted).
• Construction White Card and valid Driver's Licence.
• First Aid (CPR) and LV Rescue training.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and safety practices.
• Experience with Data Communications (SCADA, dataloggers, routers).
• Able to read and interpret plans, drawings and specs.
• Willing to travel and work on site across regions.

Responsibilities

• Replacement of key components, such as modules and inverter parts.
• Maintenance of inverters and electrical components on site.
• Collaborate with Engineering on the SCADA system.
• Respond to and repair faulty equipment promptly.
• Interface with subcontractors and on-site workers, conduct inductions.
• Report work status with documentation and time tracking in CMMS.
• Adhere to WHS policies and site safety protocols.
• Document completed work using provided framework.
• Support 24/7 control room operations and on-call tasks.
• Attend assigned PM, CM, and project works across sites.

Job description

NovaSource Power Services (‘NSPS’) is a specialist in providing Operations & Maintenance Services to Solar Plants & Battery Energy Storage Projects, around the world.

We presently manage over 26GW of Utility Solar Projects globally; and are established in Australia to drive a higher standard of O&M to market.

About the Role:

• Replacement of key components, such as modules and inverter components


• Maintenance of inverters or associated electrical components.


• Work alongside Engineering team on the SCADA.


• Promptly respond to and execute necessary repairs of faulty equipment.


• Interface with, and management of subcontractors and other workers on site, including site inductions, daily pre-start meetings, etc.


• Continuous reporting of work status and scheduling to Regional Manager and Solar Asset Manager, including complete and detailed documentation of all work performed, involving daily time tracking and use of CMMS.


• WHS reporting and adherence to WHS protocols as established by NovaSource policy.


• Timely documentation of works performed using supplied framework.

This role is supported by a 24/7 Control Room, and involves working with Solar Asset Managers, Site Technicians and Greenskeeper - Attending to assigned work orders relating topreventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, project works.

Travel:

• Travel will be required depending on the needs of the region.
