Job summary

NovaSource Power Services seeks an on-site Solar Plant O&M Technician to perform replacement of key components, maintenance of inverters and electrical equipment, and to work with the engineering team on SCADA systems.

You will travel as needed, supervise subcontractors, document all work, and uphold WHS standards across projects, including reporting to Regional and Solar Asset Managers.

Qualifications

• Current Electrical License (unrestricted).
• Construction White Card.
• Current and valid Driver’s License.
• First Aid (CPR) & LV Rescue.
• High Voltage Switching experience.
• Knowledge of SCADA, dataloggers and routers.

Responsibilities

• Replace key components such as modules and inverter parts.
• Maintain inverters and related electrical components.
• Collaborate with Engineering on SCADA systems.
• Respond to and repair faulty equipment promptly.
• Interface with subcontractors and on-site workers, including inductions and pre-starts.

Job description

NovaSource Power Services (‘NSPS’) is a specialist in providing Operations & Maintenance Services to Solar Plants & Battery Energy Storage Projects, around the world.

We presently manage over 26GW of Utility Solar Projects globally; and are established in Australia to drive a higher standard of O&M to market.

About the Role:

• Replacement of key components, such as modules and inverter components
• Maintenance of inverters or associated electrical components.
• Work alongside Engineering team on the SCADA.
• Promptly respond to and execute necessary repairs of faulty equipment.
• Interface with, and management of subcontractors and other workers on site, including site inductions, daily pre-start meetings, etc.
• Continuous reporting of work status and scheduling to Regional Manager and Solar Asset Manager, including complete and detailed documentation of all work performed, involving daily time tracking and use of CMMS.
• WHS reporting and adherence to WHS protocols as established by NovaSource policy.
• Timely documentation of works performed using supplied framework.

This role is supported by a 24/7 Control Room, and involves working with Solar Asset Managers, Site Technicians and Greenskeeper - Attending to assigned work orders relating topreventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, project works.
