Job summary

NovaSource Power Services is seeking a Site Maintenance Supervisor to oversee plant operations and on-site personnel for our solar and BESS projects in Australia. You will conduct electrical and HV tasks, review permits, and ensure HSE compliance while coordinating with suppliers and the engineering team.

Responsibilities include BOP/BESS maintenance, SCADA monitoring support, alarm response, and planning maintenance through CMMS.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to supervise plant operations and site personnel.
• Able to perform electrical and HV works and read plans.
• Experience with SCADA, data loggers, routers and data communications.
• Valid licenses and safety certifications: Electrical license, White Card, First Aid, LV Rescue.

Job description

NovaSource Power Services (‘NSPS’) is a specialist in providing Operations & Maintenance Services to Solar Plants & Battery Energy Storage Projects, around the world.

We presently manage over 26GW of Utility Solar Projects globally; and are established in Australia to drive a higher standard of O&M to market.

About the Role:

Supervision of the operation of the Plant & site personnel

Perform all required electrical & HV works

Review work Permits and HSE compliances

Liaise with the suppliers (open tickets and warranty claims as required)

Ensure safety remains the highest priority by promoting safety within the work group and ensuring no unsafe activities are permitted Preparation and submission of reports if required.

Operate and maintain key components, such as BOP plant (transformer, switchgear, cables, and substation interconnections etc), BESS monitoring.

Maintenance of inverters or associated electrical components.

Operate and Maintain back-up power via generator and/or UPS.

Work alongside Engineering team on the SCADA monitoring.

Promptly respond to alarms and plan/execute necessary repairs of faulty equipment.

Interface with, and management of subcontractors and other workers on site, including site inductions, daily pre-start meetings, etc.

Reporting to Area Manager and manage planning and scheduling of Annual Maintenance Tasks through Maintenance Procedures (MP) and tracking through the CMMS.

WHS reporting and adherence to NovaSource policies, WHS management plans and Emergency Response Plans.

Follow guidelines as per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Timely documentation of works performed using supplied framework.

This role is supported by a 24/7 Control Room, and involves working with Solar Asset Managers, Site Technicians and Greenskeeper - Attending to assigned work orders relating topreventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, project works.

Current & Valid Driver’s License.

Valid First Aid (CPR) & Low Voltage (LV) Rescue.

Australian Work Rights.

Experience with Data Communications (SCADA, dataloggers, routers)

Willing to travel to other projects, if required
