Job summary

Alita Constructions is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our team in Forrestdale. This full-time role involves hands-on supervision of day-to-day site operations, coordinating trades, and delivering projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You will plan programs, monitor quality, ensure safety compliance, complete site diaries, and engage with contractors to meet deadlines on projects typically valued at $5 million plus. WA license and White Card required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years local experience in commercial building projects
• Trade background or construction management degree required
• Strong understanding of building practices and processes
• Current WA Driver’s Licence
• White Card (Construction Card)
• High Risk Work Licence
• Proficiency with MS Office; tilt-up certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the construction process for building projects.
• Attend site daily to maintain program, quality and safety compliance.
• Plan upcoming works and schedule short and long term activities.
• Coordinate trades and workers to resolve program concerns and ensure timelines.
• Complete site diaries and maintain accurate quality checklists.

Site Supervisor

Due to increased growth, we are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to join our dynamic team.

About the role

Alita Constructions is seeking an experienced and motivated Site Supervisor to join our team. This is a full-time opportunity for a hands-on construction professional responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations and supervising trades to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

What you will do…

Supervise/manage the construction process of building projects

• Attend site daily to maintain Program, Quality and Safety compliance.

Program

• Prepare and plan and schedule for upcoming works, both short term and long term
• Communicate with all trades and their workers on site to ensure any program concerns or issues are resolved effectively
• Ensure contractors are working to committed timeframes and escape concerns where required

Quality

• Check site measurements to ensure that they comply with the approved construction drawings, and complete quality checklists as required
• Photos are taken at various stages of the building process with special attention paid to works that will be covered or hidden and are filed in the job file correctly
• Complete site daily diaries recording all activities onsite

Safety, Health & Environment

• Complete site inductions with all personnel that enter the site
• Take responsibility for your own safety while on Alita Construction premises
• Monitor sub contractors activities to ensure they are working to relevant safety standards and in line with their safety documentation
• Complete Safety checklists and permits as required
• Work with Alita Constructions Safety Officer and ensure that all workers adhere to Alita Constructions safety standards and procedures
• Complete site inductions with all personnel that enter the site

What you bring

• 5 years LOCAL experience in the commercial building industry on sites $5million +
• Come from a trade background or a tertiary education in construction management
• Have a strong understanding of building practises and processes
• Current WA Driver’s License
• White Card (Construction Card)
• High Risk License
• Intermediate MS Office skills
• Preference will be for supervisor tilt up certification and experience.
