Job summary

Hutchinson Builders in Sydney is seeking a Senior Fire Safety Engineer to lead fire strategy and design across diverse projects, from buildings to defence and transport infrastructure. You will work with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive safe, compliant solutions.

Ideal candidates bring ~10+ years in fire safety engineering, academic credentials in fire safety, and Chartered engineer status or eligibility, with Australian citizenship and security clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in fire safety engineering.
• Academic qualifications in fire safety required.
• Chartered engineer or eligibility for chartership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive the fire safety strategy and design for projects of varying size.

Senior Fire Safety Engineer

Location: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

We are looking for an associate Fire Safety Engineer who will play a key role in contributing to the success of our business. You’ll be asked to drive the fire safety strategy and shape design for projects large and small, together with both internal and external stakeholders across our expanding national portfolio of buildings, defence, industry, and transport infrastructure projects.

Who are you?

• Believe in holistic fire safety design and a team approach, and are not afraid of raising the bar
• Are a technically strong, experienced fire safety engineer and consultant with ~10 years or more in your backpack
• Have academic qualifications in fire safety
• Are a chartered engineer, alternatively eligible for chartership

As a function of the work that we do, it is a key requirement that you are an Australian citizen and either hold or are eligible for, security clearance with the Australian Defence.
