Job summary

Firesoft People is partnering with a leading technology-driven financial services organisation to appoint a Principal Site Reliability Engineer in Sydney. This is a senior engineering leadership role blending software engineering, architecture, reliability, and scale.

You will shape roadmaps, architect resilient systems, and mentor teams while remaining close to design, code reviews, and modern development practices. Experience in regulated environments is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience at principal/staff/lead level.
• Strong software design and architecture capability.

Principal Site Reliability Engineer | Sydney

We’re partnering with a leading technology-driven financial services organisation to appoint a Principal Site Reliability Engineer into its core Reliability Engineering function.

This is not a traditional operations-focused SRE role. It is a senior engineering leadership position for someone who can combine deep software engineering and architecture expertise with a strong understanding of reliability, scalability and resilience.

You will:
