Job summary

Bouygues Construction Australia invites applications for a hands-on VIE Engineer in the Precast team. This site-based role offers exposure to manufacturing and operations from the ground up, with a focus on production, safety, quality and coordination.

You will learn on a fast-paced site, collaborate with supervisors, engineers and operators, and participate in safety and quality procedures while developing practical precast experience.

Qualifications

• Recent engineering degree (any discipline)
• Willingness to work a rotating shift roster: 7 days on / 3 days off, followed by 7 nights on / 4 nights off
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to clearly communicate instructions, safety requirements and operational information in a fast-paced site environment
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
• Proactive, adaptable and comfortable working in a hands-on operational environment
• Previous exposure to construction, manufacturing, precast or site operations is advantageous but not essential

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day precast manufacturing and production activities
• Assist with the coordination and monitoring of precast operations to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality production
• Work closely with supervisors, engineers, operators and other stakeholders to ensure instructions and operational requirements are clearly understood
• Support the implementation of safety, quality and operational procedures
• Assist with production planning, reporting and documentation
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the precast operations
• Develop a practical understanding of precast manufacturing processes and site operations
