Job summary

Terra Verde is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to lead on-site mechanical activities across a major tunneling project. You will coordinate plant and equipment work, manage maintenance plans, and work closely with Mechanical Engineers to optimise performance and uptime.

You will oversee spare parts, servicing schedules, and collaborate with safety, quality, and environmental teams to ensure compliance with project standards and statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor on a major project.
• Proven experience delivering large work packages.
• High awareness of safety and compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to ensure contract terms and conditions are met.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with clients and project teams.
• Experience with budget control and site delivery management.
• Self-motivated with strong leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site teams to ensure mechanical, plant and equipment activities meet project standards.
• Plan and coordinate day-to-day maintenance across all site-based mechanical assets.
• Manage spare parts, servicing schedules and maintenance priorities with the Mechanical Engineers.
• Forecast material, tooling and machinery requirements to support daily operations.
• Conduct inspections and maintenance safely, keeping records up to date.
• Collaborate with Safety, Quality and Environmental teams to comply with standards.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders including suppliers and subcontractors.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of plant reliability and reduce downtime.
