Job summary

Armstrong Building Pty Ltd in Brisbane is seeking a hands-on Site Manager to lead day-to-day site operations on commercial projects, coordinating trades and maintaining momentum to deliver work safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Reporting to the Construction Manager and Project Manager, you will read plans, manage subcontractors, schedule look‑ahead programs and ensure WHS compliance across sites, while maintaining quality control.

Qualifications

• Successful candidates have prior Site Manager, Foreman or Leading Foreman experience in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of commercial fitout and refurbishment projects.
• Excellent trade coordination and subcontractor management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and site compliance requirements.
• Permanent full-time role.

$120,000 – $138,000 per year plus Site Vehicle

Reporting directly to the Construction Manager and Project Manager, you will take ownership of day‑to‑day site operations and lead project delivery from commencement through to completion. This is a practical, hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being out on site, coordinating trades, maintaining project momentum and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

About you

• Previous experience as a Site Manager, Foreman or Leading Foreman within commercial construction
• Strong knowledge of commercial fitout and refurbishment projects
• Excellent trade coordination and subcontractor management skills
• A solid understanding of construction sequencing and programming
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and site compliance requirements
• The ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
• Good communication and leadership skills
