Job summary

Amida Group is seeking an experienced Site Manager for ambitious fit-out and refurbishment projects in the Sydney area. You will lead projects on-site as the primary on-site authority, manage quality and timelines, and control costs while coordinating logistics and site programming.

You will liaise with clients and authorities, review contracts and scopes, and mentor site teams to uphold safety, quality, and schedule.

Qualifications

• Trade or building related qualification required.
• 5–10 years of site supervision experience in construction projects.
• White Card and First Aid certification required.
• Strong knowledge of building legislation and standards.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite HSE and quality inductions with all onsite staff and subcontractors.
• Review and manage key project issues across on-site workstreams.
• Liaise with statutory bodies ensuring notifications are made.
• Ensure site compound and amenities are established and maintained.
• Organise site inspections with clients, authorities and consultants.
• Assist Senior Project Manager with preparing scopes of work.
• Understand head and subcontractor contracts, especially timeframes.
• Produce and manage defect lists for subcontractors prior to finishing works.

A market leading fit-out/refurbishment contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking a Site Manager to join their growing business.

Projects across high end residential and commercial remediation projects from $500k - $10m+, experience with similar projects in these sectors or similar will be an advantage.

As the Site Manager, you’ll be running projects as the no.1 on site and would be reporting into a Project Manager. You’ll be expected to manage quality, ensure that programme is being delivered to time and to the correct cost, you’ll be managing all logistics and site programme.

Candidates need to have experience successfully delivering projects of this magnitude from inception to completion. Projects they work on are generally Industrial or high end residential.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Trade or building related Qualification
• Minimum 5 to 10yrs years’ experience in site supervision of construction projects including planning, programming and management of onsite staff / subcontractors
• Construction Safety Induction (White) card
• Senior First Aid Certificate
• Sound knowledge of legislation, regulations and standards relating to building sites
• Proven ability to lead and motivate subcontractors
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
