Job summary

Morson Edge Australia is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a well-established commercial builder tasks on a new build school project. This is an 18–24 month contract with accommodation provided and LAFHA available for eligible candidates.

You will report to the Project Manager, taking ownership of day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard of quality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Site Manager on commercial construction projects.
• Experience delivering education, government, health, community or large-scale commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of site safety, quality and programme management.
• Excellent subcontractor management and communication skills.
• Trade or tertiary construction qualifications highly regarded.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Managing site-based construction activities from start to finish.
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site labour.
• Driving programme and short-term planning activities.
• Managing site safety, quality and compliance requirements.
• Conducting toolbox talks, site inspections and subcontractor coordination meetings.
• Working closely with the Project Manager to achieve key project milestones.
• Maintaining strong stakeholder and client relationships on site.
