Job summary

Tier 2 Commercial Builder is seeking a Contract Foreman to lead on a commercial/retail project in the Hunter/Maitland region. You will manage trades, drive day-to-day site operations, and ensure safe, high-quality delivery on-site.

The role requires a carpentry trade qualification, Procore experience, and NSW WHS knowledge, with a White Card and applicable certifications. Previous Foreman experience in commercial projects is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Carpentry or construction-related discipline.
• Working knowledge of Procore.
• Proven experience as a Foreman on commercial and/or retail projects.
• Strong understanding of NSW WHS requirements and site safety compliance.
• Current White Card and NSW construction certifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate subcontractors and trades on-site.
• Drive daily site operations, programming, and sequencing of works.
• Maintain and update site records, diaries, and documentation via Procore.
• Ensure compliance with WHS, quality, and site safety standards.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, consultants, and client representatives.
• Support toolbox talks, inductions, and site inspections.
• Monitor progress against program and flag delays or risks early.

Are you an experienced Foreman looking for your next contract opportunity in the Hunter/Maitland region? A well-established Tier 2 commercial and retail builder, based in Sydney with active projects across NSW, is seeking a hands-on Contract Foreman to lead site delivery on a commercial construction project in the Hunter/Maitland area.

About the Role

This is a contract position suited to a Foreman who thrives on-site, keeps trades accountable, and can run day-to-day construction activities on a commercial or retail build. You'll report to the Site/Project Manager and be responsible for the safe, efficient, and quality delivery of works on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate subcontractors and trades on-site
• Drive daily site operations, programming, and sequencing of works
• Maintain and update site records, diaries, and documentation via Procore
• Ensure compliance with WHS, quality, and site safety standards
• Liaise with the Project Manager, consultants, and client representatives

About You

• Trade qualification in Carpentry or a Construction-related discipline (required)
