Job summary

Buildability Group Professional Roles in Maitland is seeking a contract Foreman to lead on a commercial/retail build in the Hunter/Maitland region. You will manage on-site trades, drive daily operations, and ensure safety, quality, and program adherence.

The role requires a carpentry or construction-related trade qualification, Procore knowledge, and NSW WHS compliance. You will report to the Site/Project Manager and work on site in NSW, with immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Carpentry or a Construction-related discipline (required).
• Procore experience is required.
• Experience as a Foreman on commercial/retail projects preferred.
• Knowledge of NSW WHS requirements and site safety compliance.
• Strong communication and subcontractor management skills.
• Based in or willing to work in the Hunter/Maitland region.
• Current White Card and NSW construction certifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate subcontractors and trades on-site.
• Drive daily site operations, programming, and sequencing of works.
• Maintain and update site records via Procore.
• Ensure compliance with WHS, quality, site safety standards.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, consultants, and client representatives.
• Support toolbox talks, inductions, and site inspections.
• Monitor progress against program and flag delays or risks early.
