An opportunity currently exists for a Site Manager, based at our Tennyson site, on a full-time permanent basis. The primary purpose is to effectively manage the operation of a large and complex manufacturing site including production, maintenance, logistics, quality control, company policies and standards and purchasing. The position requires excellent budget control along with innovation and improvement drawn from industry knowledge and business plans.

Responsibilities
  • Provide visible and effective site leadership and direction, establishing operational excellence in manufacturing quality, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Accountable for financial performance of site operations to plan, establishing disciplined process of cost optimisation and continuous improvement.
  • Develop, lead, and manage an engaged and high-performing site team, ensuring individual accountability, competencies and performance are aligned to business objectives.
  • Provide a focus on continuous improvement, benchmarking performance against key manufacturing performance metrics; identifying and successfully executing opportunities to optimise production technology, systems, and processes.
  • Drive and embed a culture of Workplace Safety and Quality across the site, ensuring compliance with all workplace safety and food safety policies, procedures, and standards.
Qualifications
  • 10-15 years’ experience in FMCG/Milling/Industrial Manufacturing, with at least 5 years in site/operations leadership.
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science (Food Tech/Quality), or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and process flow, with continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and deliver capital projects.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving and influence skills.
  • Superior computer literacy (Excel/reporting), with operational excellence / Six Sigma exposure.
