Kyneton Biscuit Group, an Australian-owned manufacturer of premium biscuits and related products, seeks an on-site Operations Manager in Kyneton, Victoria. You will own the site's operational performance, lead a close-knit team and drive safety, quality, efficiency and continuous improvement on the production floor.

You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, with exposure to advanced automation and measurable results.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Operations/Manufacturing Manager role.
• Background in food manufacturing / FMCG.
• Hands-on leadership to drive team excellence.
• Experience in process improvement, compliance and delivery.
• Analytical mindset to interpret operational data and drive decisions.
• Strong continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily manufacturing & operational activities to ensure efficient site performance.
• Lead a multi-functional team across production, warehousing and operations to achieve safety, quality and output targets.
• Drive operational KPIs including OEE, PIFOT, DIFOT, waste reduction, labour efficiency and output.
• Managing operational budgets and costs to support business performance.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across site.
• Work collaboratively across site to support business objectives.

The Opportunity:

As a hands-on Operations Manager, reporting to the CEO, you will have genuine ownership of the site's operational performance, leading a close-knit team and driving improvements across production, people, safety, quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.

This is a highly visible role suited to someone who thrives in being on the floor, close to the operation and engaged with your team. You will enjoy a fast-paced environment, working with cutting-edge technology and have a strong focus on obtaining measurable results and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proven experience in an Operations, Production or Manufacturing Manager role

• An analytical mindset and ability to interpret operational data and drive decisions

• Strong operational and continuous improvement mindset
