Job summary

MAYDAY Recruitment Group is seeking a Maintenance Officer to take ownership of maintenance at a 100-bed aged care facility in Bankstown, NSW. This permanent, full-time role offers autonomy and a varied, hands-on workload.

Work hours are Monday–Friday, 38 hours per week with flexible start times. The role focuses on general upkeep, trades coordination and preventative maintenance at a single site.

Qualifications

• Hands-on general maintenance experience.
• Ability to carry out repairs including painting, plastering, minor plumbing and electrical work.
• Experience coordinating external trades and contractors.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities

• As sole Maintenance Officer, own and manage site maintenance for a 100-bed facility.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs, oversee grounds, plant and equipment.
• Schedule preventative and corrective maintenance and coordinate external trades.
