Job summary

Ivan’s Pies in Braeside, Victoria, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to maximise equipment reliability and safety on the production line. You will perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on packaging and processing equipment, troubleshoot faults, and support continuous improvement with the Operations Team.

The role reports to the Operations Manager, with a day-shift 6am–2pm, and you'll work closely with production to reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent.
• Experience in FMCG/food manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance.
• Welding and fabrication experience is advantageous.
• Electrical disconnect/reconnect licence is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Preventative and breakdown maintenance across production and packaging equipment.
• Mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting.
• Repairing and replacing components including pumps, conveyors, bearings and gearboxes.
• Supporting continuous improvement and equipment upgrade projects.
• Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime.
• Completing maintenance records and associated paperwork.
• Supporting planned shutdown and maintenance activities.
• Maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.

We're looking for a highly skilled Maintenance Fitter to help drive safety, quality, performance, and organisational capability across our manufacturing site in Braeside.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Operations Manager and forming part of the Operations Team, you will maximise equipment reliability across the site to ensure that the plant can be operated safely with minimal downtime and wastage.

Key Responsibilities:
