Job summary

SunRice in Leeton is seeking an experienced Site Logistics Manager to lead warehouse, export, distribution and inventory operations at the Leeton Mill. You will manage a large operational team and ensure safe, efficient movement of products across Australia and international markets.

Reporting to the Logistics & Customer Service Director, you will drive safety culture, stock accuracy, and continuous improvement while optimizing supplier and contractor relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience leading warehouse, logistics or inventory operations.
• Strong inventory control and stock management experience.
• Experience managing medium to large operational teams.
• Genuine commitment to workplace safety.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• SAP experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead warehouse, transport and inventory operations across multiple sites.
• Manage a team of ~50 employees through four direct reports.
• Drive safety culture and ensure compliance with site and legislative requirements.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and robust stock management processes.
• Oversee export operations, including ~6,000 containers annually.
• Oversee transport planning, container management and fumigation activities.
• Lead stocktakes, cycle counting programs and inventory reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for safety, efficiency and service.
• Manage supplier and contractor relationships including MHE providers.
• Provide strategic recommendations to improve warehouse and logistics performance.
• Oversee daily train logistics management for export containers.

We're looking for an experienced Site Logistics Manager to lead our warehouse, export, distribution and inventory operations at our Leeton site. This is a key leadership position with responsibility for a large operational team, critical export activities and the safe, efficient movement of products across Australia and international markets.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Logistics & Customer Service Director, you'll oversee all warehouse, logistics and inventory management activities across our Leeton Mill warehouses and Wamoon Avenue Distribution Centre.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading warehouse, transport and inventory operations across multiple sites
• Managing a team of approximately 50 employees through four direct reports
• Driving a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all site and legislative requirements
• Maintaining inventory accuracy and integrity through robust stock management processes
• Managing export operations, including the shipment of approximately 6,000 containers annually
• Overseeing transport planning, container management and fumigation activities
• Leading stocktakes, cycle counting programs and inventory reporting
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, efficiency and service levels
• Managing supplier and contractor relationships, including material handling equipment providers
• Providing strategic recommendations to improve warehouse and logistics performance
• Daily train logistics management for export containers

• Understanding of fumigation or quarantine processes
