Job summary

Cargill is seeking a hands-on Site Leading Hand to manage daily operations at the Nyngan grain facility in regional NSW. You will lead a dedicated team to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality outcomes, with relocation assistance offered for the right candidate.

You will supervise receivals, storage and outturn activities, driving safety and productivity across the site while coaching staff and coordinating with others. NSW-based role with possible site travel.

Qualifications

• High school level education or equivalent; grain handling/ bulk materials industry experience preferred.
• Hands-on supervision of teams in dynamic operational settings; safety-focused leadership.
• Experience with heavy plant/mobiles (loaders, tractors, conveyors) is advantageous.
• Flexibility for outdoor work, site travel, and weekend/shift coverage during peak periods.
• Current driver’s licence; First Aid and Confined Space certifications are valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, efficient day-to-day operation of a grain storage facility (receivals, storage, outturn).
• Supervise, coach, and train employees and contractors; foster strong safety culture.
• Drive safety, quality, inventory and risk management across the site.
• Support operational planning, workforce scheduling and performance reporting.
• Contribute to maintenance and continuous improvement of site assets; assist Site Manager when needed.
