Job summary

Quickway Constructions is seeking a Leading Hand to join the Cassowary Drive Bridge Replacement project on the southern Gold Coast. This $18 million infrastructure initiative aims to deliver a flood-resilient bridge and improved transport connectivity for the growing community.

You will support civil construction activities, lead by example on site, coordinate crews, subcontractors and plant operations, and help ensure productivity, safety and quality while meeting milestones.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Leading Hand in civil construction.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Proactive approach to safety and quality.
• Ability to coordinate multiple work fronts and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of civil works including earthworks, drainage, pavements, concrete and related tasks.
• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site activities.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors on site.
• Monitor productivity, quality and compliance with project requirements.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture on site.
• Conduct pre-starts and ensure work aligns with approved procedures.
• Collaborate with site management to meet milestones.
