Job summary

Harmony Australia’s CSA Mine seeks an HR Manager to lead end-to-end HR at the site, reporting to the Site General Manager. You’ll drive workforce planning, employee relations, and compliance with Australian employment law while building a high-performing team.

Based onsite in Cobar, NSW, with an 8/6 FIFO roster from Brisbane or Sydney (local candidates welcomed on 5/2). You’ll partner with operations to manage retention, recruitment, and workforce capability in a demanding mining environment.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, or related discipline.
• Significant HR leadership experience within mining, resources, or heavy industry environments.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, industrial relations, and WHS requirements.
• Experience supporting site workforces in remote operations and unionised environments.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted HR advisor to the Site General Manager and leadership team.
• Deliver site-based HR strategies aligned with operational and production objectives.
• Translate corporate HR policies into practical site-specific solutions.
• Lead the onsite HR function, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Manage employee relations, performance, grievances, investigations and disciplinary processes.
