Job summary

Newly Weds Foods is seeking a Site Handyman to join our Facilities and Maintenance team at our busy Wetherill Park manufacturing site, working day shift. You’ll be the go-to person for general maintenance, minor repairs, and keeping the site facilities in top working order.

This hands-on role offers variety and problem-solving, with opportunities to contribute to safety and efficiency across the site. You’ll support external trades and help shape daily maintenance routines to keep operations

Qualifications

• Experience in handyman/general maintenance or similar trade support.
• Working knowledge of building maintenance systems (basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical).
• Competence with hand tools and gardening equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general building maintenance (doors, walls, fixtures, painting, plumbing).
• Inspecting site facilities and reporting issues to the Maintenance Manager.
• Assisting with setting up and dismantling equipment or furniture as required.
• Supporting external contractors and tradespeople on-site.
• Maintaining tools and equipment used for repair tasks.
• Following safety procedures and reporting any hazards or incidents.
• Performing basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical tasks where appropriate.

This is a new role, so there’s an opportunity to help shape what it looks like day to day. You’ll be the go-to person for general maintenance, minor repairs, and keeping the site facilities in top working order. From fixing a leaky tap to reconfiguring workspaces or lending a hand with on-site maintenance tasks, no two days will be the same.
