Job summary

Sinclair Projects Pty Ltd in Hervey Bay is seeking a Site Foreman to lead a commercial showroom and warehouse development on a 12-month maximum term contract. You will run the site day to day, manage the program, quality and safety, and work with a small, hands-on team.

The opportunity

Lead the build of a commercial showroom and warehouse development in Hervey Bay. This is a maximum term contract of 12 months. You will run the site day to day, keep the program, quality and safety on track, and work closely with a small, hands-on team.

What you will do

• Manage all site activities, ensuring compliance with the construction program, plans, specifications and WHS and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel so materials and services arrive on time and work flows smoothly
• Prepare the monthly lookahead program, track milestones, budgets and schedules, and report regularly to senior management
• Carry out regular site inspections and resolve buildability and WHS issues as they arise
• Work with architects, engineers and other stakeholders to resolve design changes and keep communication clear
• Step in with limited, skilled hands-on work where a gap arises in subcontracted or rated works

What you will bring

• Proven experience as a General Foreman, with a focus on commercial construction
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques and safety regulations
• Leadership that motivates a diverse team, and sound decision-making under pressure
• Clear written and verbal communication with stakeholders at all levels
• Confidence with construction management software and Microsoft Office
• Current Construction Induction (White Card)
• Cert III in Carpentry (preferred, not essential)
