Bayer Crop Science in Brisbane (Pinkenba) is seeking a Site Engineer to support maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement across the site. The role engages with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering teams to improve asset performance and ensure safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Industrial, Manufacturing or related Engineering discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across Operations, Maintenance and Engineering teams.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Commitment to safety, continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Act as a primary engineering contact for maintenance and reliability activities.
• Support the development, optimisation and execution of maintenance strategies.
• Participate in equipment failure investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Analyse maintenance and operational data to identify reliability trends and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain equipment records, asset information and maintenance plans.
• Support continuous improvement projects focused on safety, reliability, productivity, quality and efficiency.
• Collect and analyse operational data to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Assist with engineering projects, plant modifications and commissioning activities.
• Prepare technical reports, procedures and engineering documentation.
• Support contractor management and project execution activities.
• Participate in risk assessments, Management of Change (MoC) activities and incident investigations.
• Promote and uphold Bayer's safety culture and compliance requirements.
• Ensure maintenance teams receive appropriate documentation, training and support following equipment modifications or new asset installations.
