Job summary

Sydney Earthworks is seeking a skilled Site Engineer based in Sydney with willingness to travel to regional and remote project locations across NSW. You will coordinate site engineering activities, review drawings and specs, and support project delivery with QA, cost control, and progress reporting.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and a minimum of 3 years' experience in civil construction, including bulk earthworks, with a strong grasp of WHS standards and Australian regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Site Engineer in civil construction.
• Experience with bulk earthworks, excavation and civil infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, drawings and specs.
• Experience with QA, project reporting and cost control.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a project team.
• Knowledge of Australian construction standards and WHS requirements.
• Valid White Card.
• Willingness to travel to regional/remote locations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage day-to-day engineering activities across civil construction sites.
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Monitor progress, budgets, schedules and productivity.
• Assist with planning, programming and resource allocation.
• Manage QA documentation, inspections and ITPs.
