Job summary

Site Engineer - 3-4 Month Contract

Tier 1 Civil Contractor | Major Infrastructure Project | South of Brisbane

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a Tier 1 Civil Contractor on a major infrastructure project located approximately 40 minutes south of Brisbane.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Civil Engineer to gain experience with a leading Tier 1 organisation. The initial contract is for 3-4 months, with the potential for the role to transition into a full-time position in the new year for the right person.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Project Engineer on site, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day engineering delivery of the project, working closely with the project team, subcontractors and site crews.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing day-to-day engineering support across the project
• Assisting with the planning, coordination and delivery of construction activities
• Supporting works across civil, earthworks, pavements and concrete
• Undertaking quality assurance and quality control activities
• Assisting with site measurements, quantities and progress tracking
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and construction documentation
• Liaising with supervisors, subcontractors and project stakeholders
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements
• Maintaining accurate site records and documentation
• Working to relevant project specifications, standards and procedures

About You

We are looking for a qualified Civil Engineer who has:

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• 2-3 years' post-graduate experience within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil construction environment
• Experience working on civil infrastructure projects
• Exposure to earthworks, pavements and concrete construction
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
• A practical, hands-on approach to engineering and construction
• The ability to work effectively as part of a project team
• TMR experience/specification knowledge is highly desirable
• The ability to commence no later than 7 September 2026
