Job summary

Hansen Yuncken in Newcastle is seeking a Site Engineer to join our team across Newcastle and Taree projects. You will support project and site management, collaborate with Project Engineers and subcontractors, and contribute to delivering complex, high-profile works on time and to quality standards.

This role emphasizes design collaboration, program administration, on-site QA, and health and safety advocacy, with a strong focus on compliance and practical problem solving in a busy construction

Qualifications

• Experience in project and site management on construction projects.
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors and support design coordination.
• Strong understanding of QA, safety and environmental requirements.
• Excellent communication and teamwork across multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project coordination and subcontractor management, helping to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet required quality standards.
• Work closely with Project Engineers to address design challenges and provide technical support throughout the design and construction phases.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules, supporting efficient program delivery and overall project success.
• Support on-site quality assurance and environmental management activities, ensuring compliance requirements are met and progress is reported to Project Engineers.
• Promote health and safety initiatives, assisting in the delivery of works in accordance with relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.
