Job summary

Fetch Recruitment is seeking a Site Engineer to join a leading civil infrastructure contractor on a major bridge project in Mornington, VIC. This is an on-site role delivering complex works with safety and quality at the forefront.

The successful candidate will supervise day-to-day construction activities, interpret drawings, coordinate with subcontractors, and help manage programming, QA documentation, and on-site problem solving. Victorian experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified Civil Engineer (or equivalent) with site experience.
• Experience in bridges, roads or broader civil infrastructure construction essential.
• Open to mid-level through to senior Site Engineers—the right experience matters more than years.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site engineering support across all phases of bridge and civil construction works.
• Coordinate and supervise day-to-day construction activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on program and to specification.
• Interpret and apply engineering drawings, design documentation and specifications on site.
• Manage quality assurance and compliance documentation, including ITPs, inspections and as-built records.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and the broader project team to ensure smooth site delivery.
• Support setout, survey coordination and materials/quantity tracking.
• Contribute to programming, sequencing and problem-solving of on-site construction challenges.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards throughout works.

Our client, a well-established civil and infrastructure construction business, is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their team delivering a significant bridge construction project based in the Mornington area. This is a genuine opportunity to work on a live, high-profile piece of civil infrastructure close to the Mornington Peninsula.
