DT Infrastructure is seeking a motivated Site Engineer to support the QTMP Ormeau Maintenance Facility Project on the Gold Coast. The role focuses on engineering, technical, and quality assurance across all delivery phases, with hands‑on field involvement in track construction and rail infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has track works delivery experience, problem solving in the field, and the ability to interpret designs, verify as‑built assets and assist with handover to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering Degree required.
• Member of Engineers Australia or eligible to apply.
• Minimum of 2 years’ engineering experience in the construction industry.
• Primavera P6 scheduling software is desirable.
• Expert Estimation software is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical expertise across all project phases, including design, construction methods and temporary works.
• Monitor progress, prepare reports, manage programs, and assist with subcontractor claims and budget reporting.
• Administer Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and QA/QC processes; address non‑conformances.
• Build relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to support project delivery and future opportunities.

DT Infrastructure is seeking a motivated and technically capable Site Engineer to join our growing Rail team. Working on the QTMP Ormeau Maintenance Facility Project on the Gold Coast, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of a major rail infrastructure project within a dynamic and expanding rail business.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Engineer will provide engineering, technical and quality assurance support across all phases of project delivery. This position is ideally suited to an engineer with experience in track construction and rail infrastructure delivery, who enjoys being hands‑on in the field, solving complex technical challenges and working closely with project teams to deliver safe, high‑quality outcomes.

Experience in the delivery of track works, including track installation, alignment, tamping, regulating and associated quality control processes, will be highly regarded. Exposure to reviewing and interpreting track designs, undertaking as‑built verification and supporting the successful handover of track assets will be advantageous.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinate and oversee construction engineering activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and in accordance with quality and contractual requirements.
• Provide technical expertise across all phases of project delivery, including design interpretation, construction methodologies, temporary works, compliance requirements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor project performance, prepare progress and compliance reports, manage work programs, and support the commercial administration of the project, including subcontractor claims, variations and budget reporting.
• Drive quality outcomes by administering Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), managing QA/QC processes, resolving non‑conformances and ensuring project documentation is completed accurately and within required timeframes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative, client‑focused approach that supports successful project delivery and future business opportunities.
• Champion safety, environmental and regulatory compliance by supporting risk‑management activities, maintaining project records, investigating incidents, and ensuring all works are completed in accordance with rail industry standards, legislative requirements and DT Infrastructure policies.

Experience and capabilities

• Bachelor of Engineering Degree
• Be a member of, or eligible to be a member of Engineers Australia
• Minimum of 2 years’ engineering experience in the construction industry
• Proficient in Primavera P6 scheduling software (desirable)
• Proficient or intermediate skill level with Expert Estimation software (desirable)
