Job summary

Lendlease in Canberra is seeking a Site Engineer to support trade subcontractors, develop and maintain construction programs, and implement procurement strategies to deliver a complex project.

You will interpret engineering drawings, manage quality, safety, and on-site coordination while maintaining accurate site records and liaising with subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

Qualifications

• Baseline Security Clearance required.
• Minimum 2+ years in construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and regulations.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and project documents.
• Commitment to safety and quality assurance.

We are currently recruiting for a Ste Engineer to join our team in Canberra.

In this position, you will play an integral role in assisting trade subcontractors and suppliers to deliver a successful construction project. This includes developing and maintaining construction programs, implementing the procurement strategy, value engineering, managing quality and ensuring high levels of Health and Safety at all times.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, supervision, and execution of construction activities on site.

• Prepare and maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, progress updates, and as-built drawings.

• Conduct quality control checks and testing of materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with standards.

About you

• Ability to obtain and Hold a Baseline Security Clearance
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the construction industry, preferably with large-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality assurance.
