Job summary

New Venture Recruitment is seeking a Site Engineer to provide on-site engineering support on ground improvement projects in Australia. You will work closely with project managers, supervisors and site crews to monitor production, quality and safety, while assisting with temporary works and documentation.

The role is predominantly site-based with travel to project sites across Australia. A Civil/Geotechnical degree and current White Card are required, plus willingness to work in a hands-on,

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering is required.
• Experience as a site engineer on ground improvement/piling/foundations in Australia.
• Current White Card and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production and quality on site.
• Assist with temporary works and project methodologies.
• Maintain accurate site records and as-built documentation.
• Conduct quality checks and support safe work practices.
• Liaise with clients and consultants; ensure works meet programme and specs.

We are working with a contractor who work internationally across innovative ground improvement solutions including rigid inclusions, stone columns, soil mixing, dynamic compaction, jet grouting and related techniques for infrastructure, industrial, commercial and civil projects.

Position

You will provide site engineering support on ground improvement projects, working closely with project managers, supervisors and site crews. Responsibilities include monitoring production and quality, assisting with temporary works and methodology, maintaining accurate site records and as-built documentation, conducting quality checks, supporting safe work practices, liaising with clients and consultants, and helping ensure works are delivered to programme, specification and the highest safety standards. The role is predominantly site-based and may involve travel to projects across Australia.

You

• Degree-qualified Civil / Geotechnical Engineer (or equivalent experience)
• Previous experience as a Site Engineer on ground improvement, piling, foundations projects in Australia
• Strong understanding of construction processes, quality control and site documentation
• Competent with site surveying, production tracking and basic temporary works awareness
• Current White Card and a strong commitment to safety
• Practical, proactive and comfortable working in a hands-on site environment
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required
