Job summary

New Venture Recruitment is seeking a Project Engineer to support the delivery of specialist ground engineering works across Queensland. The role combines site-based and office-based duties, with a FIFO roster and potential relocation to Brisbane or the Gold Coast.

You will work within the project delivery team to plan, coordinate and execute civil packages, liaising with clients, consultants and site teams to ensure on-time performance and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified Civil, Geotechnical or Construction Engineer
• Safety-focused with practical, hands-on approach
• Clear communicator who works well with site crews, supervisors and clients
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Support project planning, programming and resource coordination on ground engineering packages.
• Assist with site supervision, quality assurance and safety compliance.
• Coordinate plant, materials, subcontractors and site crews.
• Monitor progress against programme and report on key deliverables.
• Support temporary works and construction methodology reviews.
• Complete project documentation, ITPs, daily diaries and as-built records.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, site teams and internal stakeholders

The business has a strong reputation for technical capability, safety and delivery on major infrastructure, civil and commercial projects throughout Australia. With an expanding project pipeline in Queensland, the company is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support delivery of works across the state.

Position

You will work as part of the project delivery team supporting the planning, coordination and execution of ground engineering packages. The role involves a mix of site-based and office-based work on projects located across Queensland. You can be based out of either Brisbane or the Gold Coast.

Responsibilities will include:

• Supporting project planning, programming and resource coordination
• Assisting with site supervision, quality assurance and safety compliance
• Coordinating plant, materials, subcontractors and site crews
• Monitoring progress against programme and reporting on key deliverables
• Supporting temporary works and construction methodology reviews
• Completing project documentation, ITPs, daily diaries and as-built records
• Liaising with clients, consultants, site teams and internal stakeholders

You

• Degree-qualified Civil, Geotechnical or Construction Engineer (or equivalent experience)
• Previous experience in a Project Engineer, Site Engineer or similar role within civil, ground engineering or piling
• Comfortable working on a FIFO roster and spending extended periods on site
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Safety-focused with a practical, hands-on approach
• Clear communicator who works well with site crews, supervisors and clients
• Based in (or willing to relocate to) Brisbane or Gold Coast
