Job summary

DT Infrastructure is seeking a Commissioning Manager for a major renewable energy project in Australia. You will own the commissioning phase, bridging mechanical/electrical completion to final grid connection, and lead a multidisciplinary team on a site-based DIDO roster (14/7) with accommodation provided.

You will drive testing strategies, safety, and defect resolution to achieve practical completion. You will ensure MV/HV systems, inverters, trackers and SCADA networks meet regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant electrical trade with management experience.
• Proven track record as Commissioning Manager/Lead Commissioning Engineer on utility-scale solar, wind, or BESS (200MW+ preferred).
• Deep understanding of MV/HV electrical systems, inverters, trackers, and SCADA networks.
• Strong working knowledge of Australian National Electricity Rules (NER), AEMO registration processes, and grid connection requirements.
• Valid Construction White Card; HV Switching qualifications are highly regarded.
• Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and ability to stay calm under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Commissioning Phase strategy, testing procedures, and energization plans.
• Ensure Grid Compliance with AEMO and local GPS.
• Direct commissioning engineers, HV operators, SCADA technicians, and OEM reps.
• Maintain zero-harm culture and adherence to LOTO and HV switching procedures.
• Document and manage punch-list items to completion; provide real-time progress reports.
