Job summary

Marinus Link is seeking a Site Project Manager – Land Cable Civils to lead on-site delivery of the LCC works along the 90 km underground cable route from Hazelwood to Waratah Bay in Gippsland. You’ll collaborate with the Construction Manager, contractors and landowners to ensure safe, timely and quality delivery.

Ideal candidates will have extensive civil construction experience, strong contract management, and a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in large-scale civil infrastructure construction with multiple interfaces.
• Practical civil construction background with progression into project management responsibilities.
• Engineering degree or related discipline; PM cert desirable.
• Contract management experience, including Design and Construct (D&C) contracts and interface management.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental standards with site inspections and risk assessments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and communication skills; able to lead teams and build relationships.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets and timelines.
• Demonstrated alignment with the One Marinus Culture Charter.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support the Construction Manager in the delivery of the LCC package, including management of scope, schedule, budget, risk and resources.
• Act as MLPL’s primary on-site representative for LCC works, coordinating with client, contractor, landowners, authorities and site teams.
• Manage project plans, programs, budgets, risk registers and interface activities across the LCC delivery lifecycle, escalating risks and issues.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with approved methodologies, programs and project requirements.
• Assess progress claims and variations and lead contract administration, including early warnings, extensions of time and claims.
• Maintain effective document control and ensure governance, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Champion MLPL’s health, safety, environment and sustainability requirements on site.
• Coordinate QA, environmental compliance, inspections, testing, ITP completion, site audits and regulatory submissions.
• Lead stakeholder and contractor engagement and prepare weekly and monthly reporting on progress.
