Job summary

Golding Contractors is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Brisbane team on a major mining project, with regular site presence. You will partner with project leaders to drive financial discipline, reporting and cost control across the site.

Regular travel to site is required to build relationships and support operational teams. The role expands beyond traditional accounting to act as a trusted business partner, delivering commercial support, budgeting and performance insights for the

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or Finance.
CPA or CA qualification (or working towards).
Experience in management accounting, project accounting or site-based accounting environments.
Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
Experience in mining, construction, civil, resources or project-based industries preferred.
Advanced Excel skills and confidence with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Lead month-end reporting, including accruals, cost allocation reviews and variance analysis.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting against targets.
Support monthly project reviews and cost forecasting activities.
Provide financial insights to improve cost accountability for site teams.
Collaborate with Site Administration and P2P teams on procurement and invoice controls.
Drive improvements in P2P compliance, reporting and governance.
Provide training on financial processes to site-based teams.
