Job summary

Western Power is seeking a Contractor Compliance Specialist to oversee site-based assurance for a portfolio of contracted works. The role involves safety and quality assessments, documentation reviews, and interpretation of design drawings to ensure compliance with Western Power standards.

You will identify hazards, implement controls, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive compliant project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in contractor management, contract compliance and audit activities.
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality assurance and risk management principles.
• Ability to interpret design drawings and review technical documentation.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as Western Power's contractor compliance specialist, providing site-based assurance and compliance oversight across a portfolio of contracted works.
• Conduct site-based contractor assurance activities, including onsite safety and quality assessments.
• Review contractor documentation and ensure compliance with Western Power frameworks, standards and requirements.
• Review and interpret design drawings to support the safe and compliant delivery of works.
• Identify hazards and risks and support the implementation of appropriate controls and corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support successful project outcomes.
• Apply your operational and technical understanding of field-based work practices to support contractor performance and compliance.
