Job summary

Griffith University on the Gold Coast is seeking a Technical Officer - Simulation (Nursing and Midwifery) to support the delivery of realistic learning experiences for students.

This hands-on role involves preparing, maintaining and supporting clinical teaching laboratories and simulations spaces, ensuring equipment, facilities and consumables are ready for student learning, and is a technical support position rather than teaching or clinical care.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, clinical learning or technical support environments.
• Ability to maintain safe, compliant learning spaces and strong WHS knowledge.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain clinical teaching laboratories and simulation environments for Nursing and Midwifery students.
• Provide technical support for practical classes and simulation-based learning activities.
• Manage equipment, consumables, stock control and procurement to ensure resources are safe, available and fit for purpose.
• Promote safe and compliant work practices, supporting Work Health and Safety requirements across learning spaces.
• Collaborate with academic and professional staff to deliver high-quality student learning experiences and continuous improvement initiatives.
