Job summary

University of the Sunshine Coast – Caboolture QLD is expanding its Academic Support Unit with new roles to provide specialist technical support for Nursing and Midwifery programs. You will maintain clinical learning environments, operate high-fidelity simulation technologies, and ensure facilities and resources are safe and ready for learning.

You will work with academic staff to deliver practical learning support, provide training to casual team members, and help integrate simulation

Qualifications

• Completion of a relevant degree, or a combination of relevant experience and education/training, with experience providing technical and practical support within a tertiary educational or clinical environment.
• Experience providing practical and technical support in a teaching, workshop, clinical or similar environment, with ability to prepare and facilitate high-quality practical and simulated learning experiences.
• Commitment to utilising simulation methodology in learning and its ability to transform education, and willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and support for undergraduate and postgraduate Nursing and Midwifery programs, including preparing and facilitating high-fidelity simulation and clinical learning environments.
• Prepare, maintain and safely operate clinical equipment, simulation technologies, facilities and resources, working closely with academic staff to ensure environments are safe and ready for scheduled activities.
• Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support, including training staff in the use of simulation equipment and supervising casual team members.
