Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a permanent Signals Engineer (Field) to join the Signals Engineering team. The role is based across Central, North and South regions with on-site attendance required.

You will maintain signal networks, provide technical advice, monitor performance and support incident response in a complex rail environment. Eligibility for MN S 41412 or Licensed Signal Electrician is required, with a NSW Class C licence and potential licensure within 24 months.

Qualifications

• Engineering experience in signals maintenance, construction or commissioning within an operational environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of signalling networks.
• Ability to obtain Signalling Engineer (Field) license within 24 months or hold MN S 41412

Responsibilities

• Maintain integrity, reliability and safe operation of the Signals Network.
• Provide specialist engineering advice and monitor network performance.
• Support operational and emergency activities across a complex rail environment.
• Work across disciplines to manage technical and operational issues and drive improvements.
• Contribute to initiatives that strengthen network reliability.
