Job summary

CBUS Super is seeking a Detection Engineer to join the Security Operations team on a 12-month max term contract. You will design, develop and continuously improve SIEM detection content, telemetry and monitoring capabilities to identify threats quickly and effectively.

You will collaborate with Security Operations, Threat Intelligence, Infrastructure and Cloud teams to strengthen visibility and support threat hunting, investigations and incident response.

Qualifications

• Experience engineering and supporting enterprise SIEM platforms.
• Strong detection engineering experience and development of detections and correlation rules.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills with stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and improve SIEM detection strategies and monitoring standards.
• Design and maintain detection content, analytics and MITRE ATT&CK-aligned use cases.
• Onboard and optimize telemetry and log sources across cloud, identity, endpoint, network and SaaS.
• Support threat hunting, investigations, incident response and automation initiatives.
• Deliver reporting on detection coverage and emerging threats.
