Job summary

Australia Post is seeking an SIEM Cyber Security Specialist to bolster our enterprise SIEM platform across cloud, data centre and OT environments. You will design ingest pipelines, tune detections, and work with Cloud, Network and Security teams to strengthen threat detection and response capabilities.

You’ll be part of a technically strong team delivering enterprise-scale SIEM capabilities, with hybrid and flexible work options to support collaboration and impact across Australia.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience with SIEM technologies (Microsoft stack)
• Experience designing and building log ingestion and onboarding
• Strong detection engineering and threat use‑case development
• Scripting (e.g. Python, SQL, PowerShell)
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and NIST frameworks

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance the SIEM platform ensuring availability and data quality
• Design and build log ingestion pipelines from diverse platforms
• Engineer, tune and maintain detections, alerts and dashboards
• Apply threat intelligence to detection engineering
• Build automation to improve Threat Detection & Response processes
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure end-to-end detection validity
