Job summary

Accenture is seeking a SIEM Tester to validate and assure SIEM platforms and security monitoring use cases. Responsibilities include testing log ingestion, alerts, dashboards, and reporting across Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, or Elastic Security.

The role involves developing test plans, validating detection rules, performing regression and acceptance testing, and simulating cyber attack scenarios to verify coverage. Collaboration with security engineers is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience testing SIEM platforms and validation of detection logic.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts including SOC, incident detection and response, threat hunting, and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Ability to document defects and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues.
• Experience developing and executing test plans, cases, and scripts for SIEM solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for SIEM platforms.
• Validate log collection, parsing, normalization, and enrichment from various security and infrastructure sources.
• Test security use cases, detection rules, correlation searches, and alerting mechanisms.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing of SIEM solutions.
• Validate dashboards, reports, and threat-hunting queries.
• Simulate cyber attack scenarios and verify detection coverage and alert generation.
• Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
• Work with security engineers and developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Support deployment and release testing activities.
