Job summary

Cape Preston Port Company (CPPC) is seeking a Maintenance Planner - Shutdowns (Fixed Plant) to join our Port Maintenance Planning team on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth, WA. You will support fixed-plant long-term maintenance planning, including shutdowns and major events, coordinating internal and external stakeholders to enable delivery.

Qualifications

• Trade or Engineering qualification (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in maintenance of Fixed Plant material handling systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven experience in maintenance/work management planning.
• Solid understanding of asset and work management principles.
• Proficient in SAP, MS Project, and Microsoft Office.
• WHS and environmental systems knowledge; MSIC eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Prepare maintenance plans with scope validation, task planning, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate SAP data accuracy, master data maintenance and approvals.
• Coordinate contractor engagements and approvals for maintenance work.
• Develop executable plans aligned with Asset Management strategies and business plans.
• Prioritise and aggregate work to fit maintenance windows.
• Lead weekly planning meetings and liaise with stakeholders.

Cape Preston Port Company (CPPC) is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner - Shutdowns (Fixed Plant) to join our Port Maintenance Planning team on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth.

Reporting to the Superintendent – Planning & Reliability, you will support Port Operations through fixed-plant long-term maintenance planning including Shutdowns and Major Maintenance events. The role requires scope definition, task planning, resourcing, scheduling, co-ordination of internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of major maintenance events across the Port.

Key responsibilities

• Preparation of maintenance plans (scope validation, task planning, resource and material allocation) in accordance with CPPC work management processes.
• Coordinate administration of SAP transactional data to ensure it is accurate, complete, and current.
• Coordinates contractor engagements, administrative approvals and initiates support requests required to enable maintenance delivery.
• Ensure that executable plans and schedules are developed and are aligned with Asset Management strategies and the operational business plan.
• Optimise availability of plant assets through prioritisation and aggregation of work to match operational maintenance windows.
• Facilitate the weekly planning meetings to ensure alignment of all work management activities to production or other operational plans.
• Cultivate positive, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders through effective communication and consultation.
• Monitors and updates SAP maintenance related master data.

Successful applicant will have:

• Trade or Engineering qualification (or equivalent experience)
• Previous experience in the maintenance of Balanced Machines and Fixed Plant Material Handling systems
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills
• Proven experience in maintenance/work management planning
• Solid understanding of asset and work management principles
• Proficient in SAP, MS Project, and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of WHS and environmental systems and legislation
• Ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
• Self-reliant contributor with significant experience in the Maintenance/Work Management Planning area
• Strong understanding of Asset Management and Work Management principles
