Job summary

Fortescue's Iron Bridge project, located on the Nyamal traditional lands, is seeking a site-based Shutdown Coordinator to drive readiness and safe delivery of large-scale shutdown events.

Reporting to the Shutdown Superintendent, you will coordinate workforce mobilisation, contractor engagement, procurement, and cost tracking across 240-hour and 288-hour shutdowns involving up to 1,200 personnel. Bring strong stakeholder engagement and SAP/Excel experience in a fast-paced mining environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in shutdown, maintenance, operations, or resource planning within mining or heavy industry.
• Strong stakeholder engagement across operations, maintenance, contractors, vendors and support teams.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Experience with purchase requisitions, invoicing, cost tracking and contractor administration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Teams; SAP experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate workforce, equipment, and vendor mobilisation for major shutdown events.
• Engage with internal stakeholders to meet shutdown readiness requirements.
• Liaise with vendors and labour providers for resources and services.
• Manage end-to-end purchasing, requisitions, goods receipts and invoicing.
• Monitor timesheets, cost tracking and commercial reporting for budget control.
• Maintain resource registers, equipment tracking and readiness dashboards.
• Coordinate site logistics, facilities, laydown areas and workforce support.
• Support equipment management across planning and execution phases.
• Provide execution support to resolve resource and logistics issues in real time.
• Contribute to shutdown reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
