Orica Railton is seeking an experienced Shotfirer to lead blasting operations across the Railton site, owning the full blast cycle from prep to execution to ensure safety, quality and efficiency. You will coordinate on-site crews and liaise with client representatives to keep operations running smoothly.

This hands-on role requires strong leadership, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to maintain accurate post-blast reporting and records while fostering teamwork and continuous improvement

Formación

• Current TAS Shotfirer ticket or equivalent (essential).
• Strong safety mindset and ability to follow procedures.
• Experience in quarrying, mining or heavy industry.
• Leadership capability and confidence under pressure.
• Solid communication skills and customer focus.

Responsabilidades

We are hiring an experienced Shotfirer to take the lead in delivering safe, efficient blasting operations across our Railton site. This is a hands-on role where you’ll own the full blast cycle, from preparation through to execution, ensuring every activity is completed to the highest safety and quality standards.

You’ll lead on-site crews during blast events, work closely with operators and client representatives, and play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly. Your leadership and technical expertise will directly impact site productivity, safety outcomes, and customer satisfaction.
