Job summary

SRG Global Mining Services is seeking skilled Shotfirers to join our long-term projects at Cowal (West Wyalong), NSW. You’ll be working with a professional team that values clear communication, safety, and efficiency backed by competitive pay, modern equipment, and industry-leading facilities. Both full-time and casual positions are available.

DIDO on a company supplied bus with accommodation for those residing outside the West Wyalong area. Roster is 7:7 (days) – day shift only.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a shotfirer role.
• Blasting Explosives User License (NSW).
• Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment.
• A valid Driver’s License (manual).
• Security Clearance.
• HR Class Drivers License.
• Electronic blasting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support senior shotfirer with blasting activities.
• Follow Load and tie in plans.
• Explosive vehicle and magazine inspections.
• Handling explosives and ensuring safety.
• Cleaning and securing blast areas.
• Reporting incidents and completing documentation.
• Spotting MMU & Stemming loader on blast pattern.
