Job summary

Country Road Group, Melbourne-based fashion brands, is hiring a Fixed-Term Full Stack Engineer to evolve our Shopify Plus eCommerce. You will work within the eCommerce Platform team, delivering scalable storefronts, integrations and backend services across the CRG brands.

You will contribute to Shopify themes, apps and Functions, integrate with core systems using GraphQL/REST, and work with AWS (ECS/Fargate, Step Functions, S3). This is a fixed-term role ending August 2027.

Qualifications

• Retail/eCommerce experience preferred.
• Shopify Liquid themes and GraphQL expertise.
• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript/React/HTML/CSS skills.
• Experience integrating Shopify with external platforms via GraphQL/REST APIs.
• AWS (ECS/Fargate, S3, Lambda) experience.
• Git, Agile, CI/CD familiarity; Next.js or Hydrogen beneficial.
• Knowledge of WCAG and web performance tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Shopify Liquid themes and front-end features using TS/JS/React.
• Build GraphQL queries/mutations for catalogue, pricing, inventory, orders, customers.
• Develop Shopify Functions, app/theme extensions, and multi-region catalogues.
• Integrate Shopify with core business systems via GraphQL/REST APIs.
• Contribute to backend/integration services with Node.js and TS; use AWS services.
• Execute high-volume data operations with safe, resumable patterns.
• Translate requirements into scalable Shopify Plus solutions across CRG.
• Collaborate with Analytics/SEO/CRO to improve platform performance.
• Conduct testing, troubleshooting and provide ongoing support.
• Participate in code reviews and improve engineering standards.
