Job summary
Whitehaven Coal Maules Creek Mine is seeking a Senior Environmental Adviser to support the HSET team on site. You will ensure compliance with environmental management plans, legislation and regulatory requirements, and help drive continuous improvement in environmental performance.
You will coordinate monitoring, contribute to rehabilitation planning, and prepare compliance reports while collaborating with contractors and site operations.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of NSW environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with Environmental Management Plans and monitoring.
- Experience in rehabilitation planning and implementation.
- Proficiency with environmental data, databases and GIS tools.
Responsibilities
- Provide environmental advice to site operations to ensure regulatory and environmental compliance.
- Coordinate environmental monitoring across noise, blasting, water, dust and meteorology.
- Develop, implement and maintain Environmental Management Plans.
- Support mine rehabilitation programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare environmental compliance reports and coordinate environmental contractors and consultants.
