Job summary

The Technical and Engineering Network in Perth seeks an experienced Shire Liaison Officer to manage the approval process for residential projects. You will coordinate with shires, councils, clients and consultants to keep projects moving and ensure documentation and approvals are handled efficiently.

Ideal candidates will have WA residential approvals experience, strong organization, and clear communication with internal teams and external authorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in Shire/Council liaison, building approvals or a similar residential construction administration role.
• Well organized with attention to detail and able to communicate with internal teams and external authorities.
• Understanding of WA residential building approval processes, R-Codes and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge building applications and relevant documentation.
• Liaise with Shires, Councils and other authorities to progress approvals.
• Follow up applications and manage approval timeframes.
• Coordinate with drafting, estimating and construction teams.
• Review plans to ensure requirements are met and respond to queries.
• Maintain accurate records and keep stakeholders updated.
