Job summary

d'Albora, Australia's largest Marina Group, is seeking a Shipyard General Hand at Gold Coast City Marina & Boatyard (GCCM). Located on Queensland’s Gold Coast, GCCM offers a busy marine service environment with extensive training in yard operations and waterfront activities.

Reporting to the Operations & Facilities Manager, you will operate lifting equipment, prepare vessels for lifting, assist with access, power and water, and support yard teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in a shipyard environment.
• Experience with vessel lifting and hardstand operations.
• Sound knowledge of safe shipyard practices.
• Current Driver, Boat and Forklift licences.
• Strong teamwork, judgement and organisational skills.
• No visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Travelift, forklift, trailer and lifting equipment.
• Prepare vessels for lifting, set-down and storage.
• Position and stabilise vessels safely.
• Wash vessels and maintain shipyard areas.
• Inspect plant, equipment and vessel access systems.
• Assist customers with access, power, water and hire equipment.
• Support the drystore, marina and facilities teams as required.
